No. We don't recommend putting our products in the dishwasher. When bamboo (and other wood products) are exposed to heat, humidity and prolonged time in water they can crack and splinter. 

Instead, we suggest you give them a quick rinse with warm soapy water and leave them to air dry completely before storing them.

No, our bamboo products are not microwave safe. Microwaving bamboo (and any other wood product) will significantly reduce its lifespan.

Instead, we recommend warming food in a separate microwave-safe container before transferring and serving in your bamboo plate or bowl.

Plus, did you know that bamboo is naturally anti-scalding? This means that when you put that freshly microwaved porridge into your bamboo bowl, the bowl won't heat up and burn your little ones hands. The bamboo will remain cool to touch.

To avoid stains and odours forming on/in your plates and bowls we suggest you remove any leftovers once your little one has finished eating. Letting food sit on bamboo, especially bright coloured food such as curries, for a prolonged period can lead to stains. But don’t worry if it does happen. Stains and odours can be removed from your bamboo products without using any harsh chemicals.

Here’s how:

Stains:
Baking soda – Mix baking soda with water to make a paste-like consistency. Rub this mixture into the bamboo and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Once it’s had time to get to work, rinse the bamboo with water and leave it to dry thoroughly.
If the stain is stubborn repeat this process a few times leaving it for 10-15 minutes each time and it will lighten gradually.

Vinegar – Mix one-part white vinegar with 4-parts water. Pour the mixture directly onto the stain, leave it to soak on the stained area for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off with water.

Odours:
Lemon – You can squeeze lemon juice into your baking soda mix for a stain and odour double whammy or rub lemon juice directly into the bamboo. Lemon juice is a great natural smell neutraliser (don’t worry, the lemon smell won’t stay forever).

Stickiness:
Lemon Juice - If your bamboo becomes sticky, pour lemon juice onto a cloth and wipe the bamboo. The lemon juice will remove any residue that’s clinging to the surface of the bamboo.

To keep your bamboo looking brand new for years to come, we recommend that you give your plates and bowls an oiling every few months.

All you need is a small amount of coconut oil, beeswax, or vegetable oil. Using a clean cloth rub the oil into your bamboo. Leave this to sit for a while and wipe any excess off before you use the plate or bowl again. Don’t worry, you can’t over oil your bamboo. It will absorb what it needs.

The oil keeps the wood supple and moisturised.

Cleaning bamboo is really simple. You wash it with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.

Avoid soaking them for prolonged periods and do not use abrasive cleaners, such as bleach.

Our silicone suction base will work on any non-porous, clean surface such as plastic, glass, tile, metal and marble.

Whilst the product will suction to most wooden surfaces, you will find it more difficult to achieve longer lasting suction since wood is porous and air will leak into the airtight seal between the silicone and the wooden surface.

Furthermore, our suction base won’t work on a textured surface. For example, our bowls and plates are not compatible with the Stokke Tripp Trapp highchair because it has a textured tray. The textured surface makes it impossible for the suction base to achieve an airtight seal with the tray and so it won’t stick down.

The brilliant thing about silicone is that it doesn’t degrade so you don’t have to worry about out silicone suction base not working.

If you feel like your silicone base isn’t achieving tight suction to surfaces or if it pops up after a short time, we recommend two things:

- Clean the silicone ring with lemon juice or with a non-corrosive anti-bacterial spray. This will take any greasy residue build-up off the surface of the silicone. It’ll be back to new.

- Clean your surfaces with lemon juice or with a non-corrosive anti-bacterial spray. This will remove any residue that has been left on the surface which can sometimes make the silicone ‘slippery’. After a good clean, your suction should be fully restored.

Yes, bamboo is a biodegradable material. When disposed of properly, our bamboo products will naturally decompose over time, leaving behind no environmental damage or waste.

Absolutely. Our silicone spoon tips and bases are made from food-grade silicone. They are free from harmful chemicals like BPA, phthalates, and PVC. They are safe for your child to use.

Yes, our silicone products are dishwasher safe. You can place them on the top or bottom rack for easy cleaning.

This answer has 2 parts:

Bamboo – We do not recommend sterilising your bamboo in a traditional steam steriliser as the extreme heat will damage it. However, you can use products such as Milton's sterilising wipes.

Silicone - Yes, you can sterilise the silicone elements.
